The newest offering the iH9 iHome clock radio has been redesigned to incorporate several features that were highly requested by consumers who wanted to get a little bit more out of their clock radio. One of the best changes has been to add the tilt feature, which is great for those that like to use their iPod or iTouch to watch videos or movies. Thanks to an upgraded user interface the iH9 is much more user friendly and with the sleek new cabinet design it can be placed anywhere in your home and look good. The included remote control unit not only controls all of the features of the iH9, but can also control your iPod menu functions for when you are not close to the clock radio. While the 6 watts of stereo sound provide a decent quality of sound through a pair of isolated speakers, it is not quite as good as you get with the regular docking station. You do, however get separate controls for base and treble and a special 3D setting to add more depth to the sound. There is also a place to plug in a set of external speakers.
